With soccer followers caught at dwelling, Corona brings the hatchback occasion to them
With Covid-19 cases hitting record highs in the US, soccer fan tailgates aren't a safe option for soccer fans looking to celebrate game days this season. However, Corona beer creates the home experience for consumers by hosting their own tailgate party on wheels.
The pale warehouse from Mexico has launched an online sweepstakes to win a pop-up tailgate party housed in a blue shipping container filled with $ 4,000 worth of items. By January 30, 2021, the mobile tour will arrive directly at 18 lucky soccer fans in Columbus, Ohio. Chicago and Denver.
"With the football season underway, we want to improve the way consumers see and enjoy games," said Ann Legan, vice president of brand marketing at Corona Brands. "The Corona container was developed to surprise and delight by delivering important things for the tailgate that fans can use to sit back and enjoy the unique beach experience on Corona game day."
A Corona brand team wearing masks and gloves delivers the shipping container on a branded pickup. The winners will then be asked to press a button on the side of the container to reveal what is inside. This is complemented by an exaggerated presentation with flashing lights and blasts of fog.
The container is filled with Corona-branded loot and items ideal for matchday celebrations, including an LED smart TV, Bluetooth entertainment system, helmet chair, Weber grill, steel cooler, and cornhole setup. The display stays in each home for up to an hour for winners to enjoy. After that, all items will be unloaded for fans to keep.
"We are focused on driving engagement with retail channels in key Midwestern markets to generate listings and engagement for the corona container experience," added Legan. “One of the most important metrics for success is the total number of contest entries, including impressions and click rates. We also encourage sharing and engagement on social networks. "
